Active Gaming Media was established as the first company in Japan to specialize in game localization. Now in our 16th year, we are taking on new challenges, and striving to raise the bar on quality in localization. By running a booth at this year's TGS we aim to boost public awareness and understanding of localization. We hope to spread that message not only to those in the game industry, but to the players as well.<\/p>\n

PLAYISM, the indie game publishing brand operated by Active Gaming Media, has exhibited at previous TGS events, but this will be the first time for Active Gaming Media as a company to exhibit. PLAYISM will be exhibiting as usual, just at a separate booth.<\/p>\n

Our booth allows visitors to experience “LQA,” a visual, linguistic, and cultural test conducted during the localization of games. Visitors will also get to learn about localization and how it’s much more than simply translating text into multiple languages. We’ll also be presenting our wide range of other services for expanding into the Asian market, including promotion, multilingual customer support, and community management.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In addition, members of our bilingual staff will be there to provide consultation for companies planning to release games in Japan and other Asian markets, as well as for individual developers seeking advice on expanding into said markets. All visitors to our booth will receive original AGM branded goods as well, so we hope that you will swing by!<\/p>\n
